II. Collection and storage of personal data and nature and purpose of its use

 

When accessing our website www.ifkk.de, data is automatically sent to the server of our website via your browser. This data is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

 

IP address of the accessing computer,

date and time of access,

Name and URL of the accessed file,

Web page from which the access originates (referrer URL),

Browser used and operating system of your computer, if required, as well as the name of your access provider.

 

We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:

·    Ensuring smooth connection to the web page,

·    Ensuring comfortable use of our website and

·    Evaluating system security and system stability.

 

The legal basis for the data processing is art. 6 (1) (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest results from the purposes of data collection listed above. We do not use the collected data to draw conclusions regarding your person in any case.

 

 

III. Contacting Institut für Konfliktforschung & Krisenberatung GbR

 

If you contact us via institut@ifkk.de, the information and personal data provided by you are only used for the purpose of correspondence and processing your respective enquiry.

 

The legal basis for this data processing is art. 6 (1) (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. It is either carried out to IMPLement pre-contractual measures and fulfil a contract with you or in the event of another enquiry in our legitimate interest.

 

Our website uses SSL or TLS encoding for security reasons and the secure transmission of confidential contents you send to us as the website operator. Encoding is in place when the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon appears in the address bar of your browser.

 

When SSL or TLS encoding is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

 

 

IV. Data storage period

 

We only store your personal data for as long as this is necessary to achieve the purposes stated herein or as provided by the various storage periods stipulated by law. After the respective purpose ceases to apply or after these periods have expired, the respective data is routinely blocked or erased pursuant to legal regulations.

 

 

V. Rights of the data subject

 

You have the right:

 

  • to obtain access to your personal data processed by us pursuant to art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you may obtain access to the purposes of the processing, the category of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data is or was disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of the processing or the right to object, the existence of the right to lodge a complaint, the source of your data if it was not collected by us as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and meaningful information about their details, where required;

  • ​to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of personal data stored with us pursuant to art. 16 GDPR;
     
  • to obtain the erasure of your personal data stored with us pursuant to art. 17 GDPR if the processing of such is not required for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
     
  • to obtain restriction of processing of your personal data pursuant to art. 18 GDPR if the accuracy of the data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose the erasure and we do not require the data any more, however, you require them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or you object against the processing pursuant to art. 21 GDPR;
     
  • to receive the personal data you made available to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another controller pursuant to art. 20 GDPR;
     
  • to withdraw your consent given to us at any time pursuant to art. 7 (3) GDPR. This means that we are not allowed to continue the data processing based on such consent in the future and
     
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to art. 77 GDPR. You can generally contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence, place of work or our place of business.

 

 

VI. Right to object

 

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to art. 6 (1) (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint against the processing of your personal data pursuant to art. 21 GDPR if there are reasons arising from your particular situation.

 

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal or right to object, a simple email to institut@ifkk.de will suffice.

 

 

B. Use of cookies
